The Centro Cultural de la Raza is a vibrant community space for events and group meetings. If you or your organization are interested in renting our space or collaborating on an event, please refer to the subcategories to find the option that best suits your needs.

Please submit requests at least one to two months in advance to allow adequate review time. Allow up to two weeks for a response. We also encourage you to review our calendar to check current availability before submitting a proposal.

Arts Advisory Committee (AAC) Community Proposals

The Arts Advisory Committee meets on the first Thursday of every month. These meetings provide an opportunity to arrange community proposals and events that are guided by and aligned with our community responsibilities and values.

Please note: This meeting is not for arranging private rentals. Private rental requests must be submitted through the rentals form and email process.

Preparing for Your Proposal

For your proposal, we kindly ask that you come prepared with a 15-minute presentation that includes:

  • Requested date(s) and event time(s)

    • Please include setup time and breakdown/cleanup time, separate from the event time.

  • Expected attendance

    • How many people you anticipate attending.

  • Space needs

    • What areas of the venue you will need access to (e.g., stage, kitchen, gallery, outdoor space, classrooms).

  • Equipment and technical needs

    • Sound system, projector, tables, chairs, lighting, etc.

  • Staff or volunteer support

    • Whether you will need Centro staff or volunteers, and for what tasks.

  • Promotion plan

    • How you plan to promote the event and whether Centro will be listed in promotional materials.

  • Insurance and liability

    • Whether you have insurance or are willing to sign a liability waiver.

  • Primary contact person

    • Name and best contact method (email and/or phone).

  • Reciprocity / Community Benefit

    • How your event gives back to the community, aligns with Centro’s mission, and supports cultural, educational, or community goals.
