 El Común Zapatista in the Face of the Storm: An Encounter of Resistances and Rebellions Against Fascism.

Enero Zapatista is just around the corner. This year’s program is a collective effort of more than a dozen collectives, organizations, and individuals who answered the call to organize in accordance with the Seven Zapatista Principles. We invite you to join a month-long series of politically and culturally grounded events on the unceded lands of the Kumiai/Kumeyaay, Cahuilla, Cupeño, and Payómkawichum (Luiseño) peoples. Together, we commemorate the Indigenous Zapatista uprising of January 1994 and honor 22 years of Enero Zapatista in the San Diego borderlands.

As students of Zapatismo, we are committed to learning, practicing, and building lo común among our collectives in this border region. As anti-capitalist movements, we unite to resist occupation, genocide, border militarization, and fascism in all its forms.

For those in the San Diego–Tijuana region and Imperial Valley, mark your calendars and join us to learn, connect, and organize.
